Browse Glades 72-Hour Releases

The Glades County 72 hour release list is a three-day view of people released from the county jail. It is useful when a same-day check was missed, when a release may have crossed midnight, or when several days of activity need review together. GCSO does not publish a preset rolling 72-hour page. Readers create the interval in the official released-inmate search, then compare each precise release time with the desired cutoff. A county-jail release confirms the end of that Glades County custody episode. It does not reveal every destination or prove that no other agency took custody.

Glades 72-Hour Release View

The official GCSO SmartWEB jail search supports begin and end release dates after Released Inmates Only is selected. That tool can produce a practical three-day list, but the sheriff does not brand it as a fixed 72-hour feed. The default “BOOKED Last 24 Hours” display is not the correct source because it concerns booking activity rather than recorded departures.

For the broader window, enter a begin date three calendar days before today and an end date of today. Then open each record and read its exact Released: timestamp. The date span may capture more than 72 elapsed hours, especially late in the day. Entries outside the desired cutoff must be excluded. GCSO also publishes no refresh schedule, so a fresh release can require later verification.

Three-day check: The date picker builds a calendar range, not a guaranteed rolling-hour feed. Use the result timestamp as the final cutoff.

Build Glades County 72-Hour Releases

A wide interval reduces the risk of missing a release near a day boundary. It also returns more people, which makes careful identity matching more important. Do not rely on the name alone. Booking numbers, MNI numbers, demographic details, the booking image, arrest information, and the court case number help connect the correct person to the correct custody episode.

  1. Open SmartWEB and change the mode from the default view to Released Inmates Only.
  2. Choose a beginning release date three calendar days ago and an ending date of today.
  3. Leave name fields open for the full Glades County interval, or add a name to narrow the results.
  4. Submit the range and open each released record that may fall within the window.
  5. Compare the exact released date and time with the cutoff for 72 elapsed hours.
  6. Capture the case number and check another custody system when transfer is possible.

Use the Glades County 24-Hour Releases process when only the latest same-day departures are needed. Both views depend on the same released-only search, but their cutoffs and purposes differ.

Glades Three-Day Record Fields

Every returned SmartWEB item represents a booking episode rather than a bare list entry. The fields can confirm identity, show the exact exit time, and supply a route into the court file. SmartWEB did not display a reliable, separately labeled release reason or destination in the observed result. Bond amounts or a released status alone cannot fill that gap.

FieldHow to use it
Released status and timestampConfirm departure from GCSO and apply the 72-hour cutoff.
Name and demographic fieldsCompare identity details rather than matching on name alone.
Booking imageSupports a careful identity match within the county record.
Booking and MNI numbersIdentify the booking episode in a records request.
Booking time and arrest numberConnect the departure to the correct intake and arrest.
Case, statute, charge, and agencyRoute the search to the court docket and originating agency.
Bond type, amounts, and feesShow booking-related figures without proving the release basis.

The court case remains open after many jail releases. Use the case number to determine whether bond, a court order, sentence completion, dismissal, or another event explains the timing. If the person moved to FDC, ICE, BOP, or another jail, the receiving system answers present custody.

Glades Weekend Release Catch-Up

A three-day interval is most useful as a catch-up view. It spans several calendar dates, so someone checking after a weekend, holiday, or missed day can review more than the latest same-day results. The research found no Glades County promise about weekend processing, a daily discharge hour, or a holiday posting schedule. Those local practices must not be inferred from the date search.

The practical safeguard is to widen the beginning date when uncertainty remains, then narrow by each exact timestamp. Search both current and released records if it is unclear whether the person has left. A person still shown as current has not yet entered the released-only result for that episode. Someone shown as released has departed GCSO, though a transfer can place that person in another custody system.

For a specific person whose name does not appear, the Glades County released-inmate lookup covers the full path through county, court, state, notification, federal, and immigration records.

Glades Release Archive Has Limits

The same SmartWEB form can accept arbitrary begin and end release dates. During research, historical tests found released records as old as January 2010. That is evidence that older Glades County results were searchable at the time, not an official retention commitment. GCSO publishes neither a guaranteed online archive length nor an update cadence on the portal.

This distinction shapes the 72-hour list. Calendar dates create the candidate pool. Exact release times determine membership. A missing result can arise from spelling, an incorrect date range, processing lag, sealing or expunction, juvenile confidentiality, or online access limits. It does not establish that no booking or release occurred. The GCSO Records Department supplies the formal fallback when the portal cannot resolve the search.

Note: Keep the cutoff time with the search notes so the same three-day list can be checked consistently when SmartWEB is revisited.

Request Missing Glades Release Records

First retry SmartWEB with a wider date span, fewer name fields, and the Both Current And Released option. If the record remains absent, contact GCSO at 863-946-1600 or request the existing booking sheet and release record. A focused request identifies the full name, date of birth if known, booking or MNI number, and approximate booking and release dates. It can ask for the actual release time, disposition or destination if recorded, and the booking photograph.

The official GCSO Records page lists in-person, mail, and email access, including Public_Records@gladessheriff.org. It also publishes copy charges and a five-business-day mail workflow after receipt, subject to the stated investigation caveat. Ask for electronic delivery and a cost estimate before special-service work.

This county records route addresses GCSO custody. FDC public records answer state-prison movements, while court copies establish the judicial event behind a release.

Glades Release Search Beats App

GCSO’s official mobile app is not a verified substitute for the 72-hour released-only search. Its store text promotes sheriff news, public-safety information, and tip features, but does not promise an inmate locator, release list, or booking-photo archive. The proper source remains SmartWEB unless a current app screen later demonstrates a release function.

The official Android app listing documents the feature scope visible to users.

That boundary prevents general sheriff alerts from being confused with a complete county release record.

Verify Glades Release Destinations

SmartWEB answers when a person left the Glades County jail episode. It does not consistently answer where the person went. A bond release may return someone to the community while the case continues. Sentence completion ends the ordered jail term. A transfer moves the person to another jail, Florida state custody, federal prison custody, or immigration detention. Each outcome needs a different confirming record.

Search the Glades Clerk case portal with the case number for bond orders, docket events, disposition, and sentence. Use FDC Offender Search when a state-prison commitment or community-supervision record is possible. VINELink can provide participating-agency custody-change alerts but is not a permanent court archive. Use the BOP Inmate Locator for federal prison records and ICE ODLS for immigration detention. A county released timestamp should not be described as a return home until those plausible handoffs have been checked.

Released
The listed GCSO custody episode has ended.
Transferred
GCSO custody ended because another agency received the person.
Discharged
A custody term or supervision obligation ended under the controlling record.
In custody
The person remains held by the agency whose current record is being viewed.

Two major custody sites on East State Road 78 in Moore Haven make this boundary easy to miss. SmartWEB covers the Glades County jail and contract-detention episode. The nearby Moore Haven Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility is a state-contract prison whose custody, release, and supervision records belong in FDC systems. A person leaving one facility should not be searched as though released from the other. For a youth who was held at the regional juvenile detention center serving Glades County, adult SmartWEB and FDC lookups are also the wrong route because DJJ and juvenile-court access rules apply.
