Glades 24-Hour Release View
Glades County Sheriff’s Office provides a real released-inmate search through GCSO SmartWEB. It does not label any fixed result page as a 24-hour release list. The default screen’s “BOOKED Last 24 Hours” wording concerns booking activity and must not be mistaken for a release feed. To find departures, switch the search type to Released Inmates Only. The form then accepts begin and end release dates.
A useful same-day view begins with yesterday’s date and ends with today’s date. That broad range catches the boundary across midnight. Each returned record must then be checked against the current time. Only results whose Released: timestamp falls within the last 24 elapsed hours belong in a true Glades County 24-hour release view. The sheriff publishes no update-cadence promise, so the result should not be called real-time.
Check Glades County Releases
Start with the official county system and keep the search broad enough to handle spelling and midnight boundaries. A name is helpful but is not required to create the release-date window. Once results appear, identifiers and case data help separate people with similar names. The workflow below creates a same-day release list rather than a current-custody roster.
- Open GCSO SmartWEB and select Released Inmates Only.
- Set the beginning release date to yesterday and the ending release date to today.
- Add a surname when seeking one person, or leave the name fields broad for the full interval.
- Submit the search and open each matching Glades County released record.
- Compare the exact
Released:time with the current time and remove older entries. - Use the case number and agency fields to verify the event in the proper next system.
For one named person, the broader Glades County released-inmate search path explains how to follow the jail result into court, FDC, ICE, BOP, or another jail. A county release time establishes only that GCSO custody ended.
Glades Release Record Fields
SmartWEB preserves far more than a name and date. A released result observed during the county research linked the person, the booking episode, the charge, and the departure time. It did not show a dependable standalone release-reason or destination field. The court docket and any receiving custody system must supply that missing context.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Status and Released time | That the person left GCSO custody and the exact recorded date and time. |
| Booking and MNI numbers | Identifiers for the county custody episode and master name record. |
| Name, demographics, image | Match details that help distinguish people with similar names. |
| Booking date and arrest number | When the episode began and the related arrest identifier. |
| Bond and cash-only figures | Amounts attached to the booking record, not proof of why release occurred. |
| Charge and case details | Statute, charge, degree, level, court case number, agency, bond type, and fees. |
A person on this Glades County release list is no longer held in the listed jail episode. Someone shown under Current Inmates Only remains on the live jail roster. A transfer can still leave the person in another agency’s custody, so “Released” should never be read automatically as “free of all custody.”
Glades Release Dates Need Filtering
Glades County uses one flexible SmartWEB form for both short and long release searches. There is no separately branded rolling 24-hour endpoint. The inputs are calendar dates, while the results carry exact date-and-time stamps. That design is useful, but it places the final time calculation on the reader. A search run late in the day can include much more than one elapsed day if every result is accepted without review.
Research also found released Glades County records dating back to January 2010. That test shows historical searching worked at the time of review, not that GCSO guarantees any retention span. The agency gives no archive promise on the form. When the goal is a strict same-day list, use only the exact time shown. For a broader catch-up search, the Glades County 72-Hour Releases page uses a three-day range and the same timestamp test.
Note: A no-result can reflect the chosen dates, spelling, processing lag, or online access limits and does not prove that no release occurred.
Glades Bond Releases Need Court Records
A same-day Glades County release may follow a bond decision. GCSO states that a person who does not bond out appears before a judge within 24 hours, either in person or by Poly Com video, to hear the charges and bond. If bond is later met, SmartWEB can show Status: Released while the criminal case remains open. Release from jail is not a court disposition.
The official GCSO booking-process page documents that first-appearance and bond sequence. The corresponding SmartWEB charge row provides a court case number. Use it in the Glades Clerk’s case system to find the bond order, docket events, disposition, and sentence. SmartWEB itself did not expose a separate release-reason field during research, so the bond figures alone should not be used to infer the legal reason for departure.
The source image below shows the sheriff’s published booking, bond, and first-appearance information.
That official process explains why a release time and the continuing court case must be read together.
Getting Home After Glades Release
Florida law addresses transportation for a prisoner discharged after serving a sentence or on pardon or parole. Florida Statutes § 951.04 says the person shall receive transportation, or its money equivalent, back to the place from which sentenced. Glades County’s public jail pages do not explain the pickup point, mode, or local procedure. Ask GCSO how the rule applies to the particular release instead of assuming that a ride waits at the jail.
Heartland Rides publishes three weekday STREAM routes through Moore Haven and nearby communities, with flag stops and the phone number 1-877-935-4487. The transit provider does not document a jail stop or a discharge partnership. Confirm the route and pickup plan before relying on it. This issue is separate from custody status: a transportation problem does not change the exact release time recorded by SmartWEB.
Glades Release App Limits
GCSO has an official mobile app, but its store descriptions advertise public-safety information, news, and tip functions. They do not verify an inmate lookup, recent-release list, or mugshot search. SmartWEB remains the documented official path for Glades County released records and enlargeable booking images. Readers should not substitute a general sheriff app screen for the county release result.
The official GCSO iOS listing shows the features the publisher chose to describe.
Because release search is not promised there, use the SmartWEB released-only mode unless a later, verified app screen proves that the feature was added.
Missing Glades Release Records
When SmartWEB returns nothing, retry with broader dates, name variants, and the Both Current And Released setting. Then contact GCSO at 863-946-1600 or request the existing booking sheet and release record. Include the full name, birth date if known, approximate booking and release range, and booking or MNI number. Ask for the actual release date and time, destination or disposition if recorded, and an electronic copy. GCSO accepts requests in person, by mail, and through Public_Records@gladessheriff.org.
The GCSO Records page documents those request channels, posted copy fees, and the stated mail workflow.
The records route is the fallback for an absent online jail result. FDC Offender Search covers Florida state-prison custody and supervision, VINELink can provide participating-agency custody alerts, BOP covers federal prison records, and ICE ODLS covers immigration detention. None is a substitute for the Glades County jail release record when GCSO held the person.
GCSO posts charges of $1 per copy, $1.50 for a two-sided copy, $7 per CD or DVD, and $2 for a local records check. Those agency prices differ from the general Chapter 119 copy ceilings, so request an itemized estimate before paying. For a mail request, include a sufficient self-addressed stamped return envelope. GCSO says research and return occur within five business days after receipt unless its investigation caveat applies. The page gives no separate booking-photo form, records-office hours, or guaranteed time for a large request. Ask for existing records rather than asking staff to write a new account of the release.
